Policies

The maximum number of guests is limited to six (6) persons.  On a “case by case basis” we can accommodate up to eight (8) people for an additional surcharge.  Please mention upon inquiry prior to booking Catch A Wave.

NO PETS ALLOWED… Although we love our pets, we leave them home THIS IS A NON-SMOKING HOME We will not rent to students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.

FAMILY FRIENDLY HOME, however, suggested caution for children under 3 due to higher elevation of decking.
For stays of at LEAST a week or longer we do offer discounted golf cart rental rates based on availability. Golf cart must reserved and paid for at the time of booking Catch A Wave in order to for us to reserve. Guests are responsible for signing the Golf Cart Rental agreement upon arrival, providing a credit card as a security and abiding by all rules and regulations.

Unfortunately, with no naturally occurring water source on the island we rely solely on collecting and manufacturing our own water. As such, water is a precious commodity which is why there are NO laundry facilities available at the house. We limit the use of our laundry equipment to be used by our cleaners only. If laundry is necessary for your stay there are several options on the island from self serve laundromats to full service that will wash and fold your laundry, all for a nominal fee. Our caretaker (local) is available for any needs while staying at Catch A Wave.

An advance payment equal to 50% of the TOTAL rate is required to confirm this reservation. The advanced payment will be applied toward the rental rate. The balance is due ninety (90) days prior to your arrival date. If reservation is made less than 90 days prior to arrival full payment will be required. If a golf cart is rented, payment is due at the time of booking the reservation.

Signature of our RENTAL AGREEMENT is required within 48 hours of booking. This will be sent in a separate email to be e-signed.We do have a “non refundable policy” and highly suggest purchasing trip insurance.

A security deposit of $500.00 for stays of < or = to 12 nights or 10% of total amount for stays >or = 13 nights is required. The security deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided no damage occurs during the stay.

Rate includes both pickup upon arrival and delivery upon departure from and to the ferry dock Rates and restrictions may vary during holidays SUNDAY ARRIVAL AND/OR DEPARTURES ARE SUBJECT TO A $100 SURCHARGE.

Booking, Payments, and Fees

An advance payment of 50% is required to confirm all reservations and will be applied toward your rental balance. The remaining 50% is due 90 days prior to arrival. If a golf cart is reserved through us, its fee is also due at the time of deposit.

Reservations made within 90 days of arrival require payment in full.

Cleaning fee of $250.00 per 4-7 night stays. Longer stays will require an additional fee if cleanings/ turn overs are requested.

A 3.5% processing fee will be added for credit card transactions.

Security Deposit

A $500 security deposit is required with all bookings. This deposit is refunded within 14 days of departure, provided the guest follows all terms outlined in our rental rules contract (items 7a, 7b, and 7c). The deposit is not applied toward rental fees.

Cancellations & Refunds

All canceled bookings are non-refundable.

Check-In & Check-Out

• Arrival and access instructions will be sent 7 days prior to your stay.
• Early or late check-in may be arranged depending on availability.

House Rules & Responsibilities

• No smoking
• No pets allowed
• No parties or events
• Guests are responsible for any damages or lost items
• Children must be supervised at all times, especially near the pool

Pool & Safety

• Pool is private and fully fenced
• No diving allowed
• No glass near the pool
• Pool cleaning is scheduled mid-week

Golf Cart & Local Rentals

• Stays of 7 nights or longer may qualify for discounted golf cart rental, subject to availability
• Golf cart rentals require a separate contract; renter is responsible for any damage or misuse

Disclaimer

Although we do have many amenities, including internet, air conditioning and an automatic generator, this is the Bahamas so please expect that these may not always work. In addition, power outages are not uncommon.

Owner is not responsible for any inconveniences for which owner has no immediate control, and no refund or rate adjustment will be issued for said inconveniences.  These inconveniences may include, but are not limited to the following, (1) internet or power outages, (2) adverse weather conditions, (3) construction in the immediate surrounding area or neighborhood or (4) pool closure.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. Any and all information collected through this site is kept strictly confidential and will never be shared with third parties, except for our secure payment providers (Braintree or PayPal). We may occasionally contact you via email with offers or updates. If you prefer not to receive these communications, simply let us know and we’ll remove you from our list.
